Last remaining member of Packers 2015 draft class leaves team

This just sums up why the Packers were right to get rid of former GM Ted Thompson:

Jake Ryan, the fourth-round pick in 2015, will sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars pending a physical, a source confirmed Saturday to Terms of his deal with the Jaguars were not immediately available. NFL Network was first to report Ryan agreeing to a deal with Jacksonville.

With Ryan heading elsewhere, all eight members of the Packers’ 2015 draft class officially are no longer with the team.

While Ted Thompson did a lot of things right during his tenure as Packers GM (specifically stealing QB Aaron Rodgers with the 24th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft), towards the end of his tenure he didn’t “hit” on nearly enough draft picks to keep the Packers roster stocked with young talent. Given Thompson’s aversion to signing free agents, his inability to keep the roster restocked with talent led to last year’s mess of a team.

While it’s still early in GM Brian Gutekeunst’s tenure he’s going to need to do a much better job in the draft if the Packers are going to regain their standing atop the NFC standings and really be true contenders for the Super Bowl.

The “Patriot Way” indeed!

Apparently the ““Patriot Way” involves the owner of the team soliciting prostitution?!?!?

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft was listed as part of a group charged with soliciting prostitution in Florida on Friday.

Per Ali Schmitz of USA Today, Jupiter police announced Kraft has been formally charged with soliciting another to commit prostitution.

Per NBC News’ Tom Winter, Florida police said they obtained video evidence showing Kraft “involved in acts of prostitution” during their investigation.

Obviously Robert Kraft is innocent until proven guilty, but the fact that there may be video evidence showing Kraft involved in acts of prostitution doesn’t bode well for him.
